ARGHAKHANCHI: Central president of the National People’s Front, Chitra Bahadur K.C. has accused the Maoists of abetting the Palace in working to foil the Constituent Assembly elections. Speaking at a mass meeting organized by the National People’s Front, Arghakhanchi District Committee at Rani Gara of Artha Village Development Committee (VDC) Friday, he said, The Maoists pushed for the proposal of fully proportional election system after it became clear that they would lose the election through the direct election system. At the mass meeting, general secretary of the Front and MP Dilaram Acharya said although Maoists have been vouching for the Constituent Assembly election in public, they actually are not in favour of the Constituent Assembly (CA) Election.

Meanwhile, central member of the CPN-Maoist, Top Bahadur Rayamajhi has said the Constituent Assembly election without the participation of the Maoists was impossible.
